Our Work

Portfolio

Real jobs, photographed by us. We show the excavation and the compacted base as well as the finished surface, because the base is what decides whether a lawn stays flat. Drag the slider on a job to see what it looked like before we started.

Side-of-House Turf Path

  • Artificial turf
  • Base preparation
  • Drainage

A dead strip down the side of the house, bark and bare soil that stayed wet and grew nothing, rebuilt as a clean turf run. Old material stripped out, a compacted basecourse laid to fall away from the wall, then turf seamed to the edges. The whole sequence was shot from the same spot, so the base under the lawn is visible rather than promised.

Courtyard Turf with Tree Boxing

  • Artificial turf
  • Timber tree boxing
  • Stone bedding

A family courtyard where the turf had to work around three established maples, a hexagonal sandpit and a river-stone bed. Each trunk got its own timber box so the tree keeps its water and the turf keeps a clean edge, and the turf was cut to the sandpit frame rather than butted up to it.

Turf Inside a Pool Fence

  • Artificial turf
  • Pool fencing
  • Base preparation

Turf laid inside a compliant black pool fence and carried under the pergola, so the enclosed area stays usable and green in shade where real grass thins out and turns to mud.

Courtyard Turf Strip

  • Artificial turf
  • Base preparation
  • Levelling

A narrow courtyard against a plastered block wall, levelled and compacted by hand where a machine could not reach, then finished with a single clean run of turf between the wall and the paving.

Patio Edge and Front Yard Base

  • Base preparation
  • Timber edging
  • Levelling

The groundwork stage on two areas of the same property: a patio edge and a front yard, both stripped, edged in timber and brought up to a compacted, free-draining base. This is the layer that decides whether a lawn stays flat, and the part most turf-only installers subcontract.
